httpFileManager is a file management script that allows the remote administration of files over HTTP. It only needs a PHP interpreter on the server side and a JavaScript capable browser with cookies enabled on the client side. No database engine or other software is required. httpFileManager allows files to be uploaded from the client computer to the server. It allows the online management of files. Also, HTML files may be created and edited right on the server through a browser-based WYSIWYG editor.

This release has the same functionality as 0.0.2, but the script has been completely rewritten to incorporate the AJAX Web development technique for creating a more interactive Web application. The intent is to make Web pages feel more responsive by exchanging small amounts of XML data with the server, so that the entire Web page does not have to be reloaded each time the user makes a change. This is meant to increase interactivity, speed, and usability.
