GT.M is a high end platform for developing transaction processing database applications. Individual database files in the terabyte range are supported; a logical database can consist of many files. It provides full support for ACID transactions using a Software Transaction Memory (STM) programming model and optimistic concurrency control. The GT.M data model is hierarchical associative memory (i.e. multi-dimensional arrays) that imposes no restriction on the data types of the indexes or content, nor any restriction on the schema is that imposed by the application. Such databases are also referred to as "document oriented", "schemaless", or "schema-free".

qpopper-mysql is a patch to Qualcomm's qpopper POP3 daemon to enable it to do user authentication via a MySQL database, support virtual domains, support Maildir-style mailboxes, and log logins into a MySQL database for possible MTA SMTP authentication relaying use.

dbXML is a Native XML Database (NXD). NXDs are databases that store XML
using an internalized format for faster overall processing.

YASQL is an open source Oracle command line interface. It features a much kinder user interface than SQL*Plus (sqlplus). This is meant to be a complete replacement for SQL*Plus when dealing with ad hoc queries and general database interfacing. It adds features such as full ReadLine support for command history and tab completion, alternate output methods, table, list, CSV, redirection and piping of query results, query editing, scripting, and easy administrative data dictionary commands.

pgFouine is a PostgreSQL log analyzer. It allows you to have a clear
overview of your database activity, and can generate reports with
slowest queries, most frequent queries, errors, graphs, and so on. It
is written in PHP and is designed to parse huge log files with a low
memory footprint.

Centrallix is an HTML/Javascript/AJAX based rich Internet application platform featuring data and application abstraction, an SQL engine for joining diverse data sources, declarative (not scripted) development, reports, components, and style templates.

TurnKey PostgreSQL Appliance is a server appliance for PostgreSQL, a fully-featured object-relational database with many enterprise features: ACID transactions, inheritance, Unicode, and strong support for the SQL-92 standard including subqueries, views, outer joins, foreign keys, sequences, and triggers. It is designed to be easy to use and easy to maintain. Security patches are automatically installed. It provides a Web management interface, configuration console, and an AJAX Web shell. To minimize footprint the appliance is built from the ground up with the minimum required components. It runs everywhere thanks to multiple build formats, including an installable live CD, a VMDK with OVF support, and an Amazon EC2 AMI.

SMYLE (Storage that Makes Your Life Easier) is a
hierachical/relational database written in and for
Java. Smyle is seamlessly integrated with Java
and not an alien artifact like SQL.

furious_tv is a PVR backend that uses an SQLite
database to hold XMLTV listings data. Using that
data, it can automatically execute commands to
record TV shows off of a capture device (multiple
capture devices are supported). If Shuriken is
installed, furious_tv can also automatically power
the system on/off for recordings to save power.

nexB OpenAssets is a tool for inventorying, managing, and monitoring applications, software, hardware, networks, and generally any IT asset.
It is designed so that system administrators, IT, and finance can determine what they have, how it is configured, what it is used for, and how much it is being used, so that informed decisions can be made. It complements existing network management software, integrates with a growing number of protocols and tools, and features no-agent discovery and inventory, configuration management including dependencies and correlation, monitoring, and reporting. It makes extensive and innovative use of XML, Xpath, and Xquery.

DMO is generic object management, documentation, and inventory software. It enforces defining an abstract hierarchical structure for the data stored, making object management very intuitive. All the data in a company can be stored in a structured manner, from hard disks, computers, and printers to routers, UPSes, and alarm systems. Powerful querying and PDF report generation, plugin support, a high level of customization, and very clean code make DMO a very powerful tool.

POPsearch is a desktop search engine that is designed to help you easily find information on your computer. With features that other search engines don't have,it lets you index your entire collection of email messages and files. As information is indexed, it is immediately available for analysis from any Web browser. When POPsearch is configured correctly, you can also access your data remotely with RSS feeds, email feeds, or from any computer that has a Web browser.

Basilic is a bibliography server for research
laboratories. It automates and facilitates the
diffusion of research publications over the
Internet, automatically generating Web pages from
a publication database. Each publication has an
associated Web page, which provides downloads and
additional documents (abstract, images, BibTeX).
Index pages are also created, including a search
engine with several options for results display.
New publications can be added to the database in
an instant.

UnixODBC.pm provides Perl programs with a subset of the X/Open ODBC API for use with EasySoft's unixODBC DBMS libraries, as well as a peer to peer API for querying ODBC data sources on networked systems. In addition, it provides peer client and server scripts and configuration files, sample clients that perform ODBC queries on local and networked systems, result set output for RSS feeds, and two multi-host data managers: one that uses Apache and CGI to provide a Web browser interface, and another that uses Perl/Tk.
