Photo Importer is a reliable, hands-off importer
of media from digital cameras for Linux and the
GNOME desktop.

TyGeMo is a TCL/Tk-based frontend to the digital
camera software, photopc. Its goal is to provide
all the funtionality of the commandline-based
photopc in a user-friendly GUI application.

From your Windows Mobile device, RealtimeBlog

manager. It sends photos to your ISP account and

The GIMP Dimage color plugin allows GIMP users to
convert images produced by the Minolta DiMAGE 5/7
digital camera into sRGB colorspace. The camera
produces images in a wider gamut colorspace so
that pictures look "washed out" when viewed on a
monitor without a conversion.

CamManager is a program to manage HP Photosmart
digital camera memory cards. The program allows
users to easily access, list, and download images
or movies from their HP camera's memory card. The
program works well on Windows and Unix-like
systems.

libiptcdata is a C library for manipulating the
International Press Telecommunications Council
(IPTC) metadata stored within multimedia files
such as images. This metadata can include captions
and keywords, often used by popular photo
management applications. The library provides
routines for parsing, viewing, modifying, and
saving this metadata. The libiptcdata package also
includes Python bindings and a command-line utility, iptc, for viewing and editing IPTC data in JPEG files.

simple yet efficient online image gallery.

rdc2e is a command line tool that downloads images from a Ricoh RDC-2E digital camera.

FlickFleck is a tool to transfer photos from a
digital camera memory card. It can rename and
rotate files using EXIF information.

pnmstitch allows you to automatically stitch,
transform, blend, and crop two pnm images
together. It supports low overlap, high resolution
Digital Camera images, primarily with a focus on
heuristics to improve the quality of the match.

gtkam is a GNOME front-end for gphoto, which allows
you to retrieve photos and movies from over 300
different digital cameras.

PyEXIF is a Python module that can read the JPEG
or TIFF EXIF tags containing digital imaging device
parameters. This is useful for use with images from
digital cameras which includes lots of useful
information about the image acquisition (e.g.
shutter speed, aperture, etc.).

SortImagesGUI is a Java Swing application for
sorting still images from digital cameras by
capture date from the EXIF header. The images are
sorted into subfolders by year, month, and day.
Most of the EXIF-metadata are inserted into a
MySQL database with the MD5 sum of the image file
as a primary key. This makes it easy to find out
if an image already exists.
